International Virtual Workshop on Accreditation of Testing Laboratories

Are you a new employee of a testing laboratory that has accreditation to EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017 and want to learn more? Is the laboratory you are working for wanting to pursue accreditation? Are you looking to validate your knowledge on the ISO/IEC 17025:2017 standard?

If you answered ‘yes’ to the above questions, then this workshop would be a great fit for you.

UNIDO and the Government of Turkey in collaboration with the Scientific and Technological Research Council of Turkey, Bursa Test and Analysis Laboratory (TÜBITAK – BUTAL) are looking for applicants to participate in the International Virtual Workshop on “Accreditation of Testing Laboratories: EN ISO/IEC 17025:2017”.

It will take place over a period of five weeks, from 8 November to 10 December 2021 and will be conducted in English. You will be guided by workshop facilitators who are experts in their respective fields of accreditation, metrology and testing with many years of knowledge and experience working in Turkey.

The workshop will focus mainly on the general, structural, resource, process and management system requirements for accreditation according to the standard, the application procedure of accreditation, method validation, traceability and the role of quality infrastructure and accredited laboratories, and the higher-level importance of accreditation in relation to the sustainable development goals (SDGs), underscoring the importance of a Laboratory Policy.
