West Africa’s First Accreditation body Gains Associate Membership of ILAC

Nigeria National Accreditation Service (NiNAS) has been accepted as an Associate Member of the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) on 20 June 2018.

After being Affiliate Member since December 2017, NiNAS gained the Associate status upon fulfilling the established criteria. These requirements include providing evidence of operating accreditation schemes for testing and calibration laboratories.

At the beginning of June 2018, (NiNAS) celebrated the eleventh World Accreditation Day in Abuja at its recently inaugurated premises. In attendance were representatives from UNIDO, the European Union and the public and organised private sectors.
