  • How to prepare for future challenges by introducing precautionary measures at an early stage

The event, which was attended by more than 50 UNIDO staff and experts, resulted to be a full success.

The UNIDO series of virtual events on Quality and Standards in the Fight Against COVID-19 will continue on Friday, 17 April with a high-level panel discussion among international quality infrastructure organizations, such as the International Standardization Organization (ISO), the International Laboratory Accreditation Cooperation (ILAC) and the International Bureau of Weights and Measures (BIPM).

COVID-19 is disrupting almost all spheres of life, with particular impact on production and manufacturing. Businesses worldwide struggle to keep up production of essential and non-essential goods. In this context, organizational resilience, the ability of an organization to absorb and adapt in a rapidly changing environment, and related international standards, play a particularly important role in mitigating the negative economic effects of the outbreak.
