UNIDO’s Development Dialogues on the 4IR Strategic Framework

Further to the consultation process of UNIDO Strategic Framework for the Fourth Industrial Revolution 2022-2030, UNIDO released proceedings of the Development Dialogues that took place between 7 October to 2 November 2021. UNIDO Strategic Framework for the Fourth Industrial Revolution 2022-2030 aims to make the Fourth Industrial Revolution (4IR) work for all by advancing smart production for climate action, harnessing 4IR for economic development and improving livelihoods using 4IR technologies with advances on innovation ecosystems, skills and capacity-building, governance, partnerships, investment and infrastructure.

UNIDO received very positive feedback and encouragement to proceed with the second round of the development dialogues. In light of UNIDO’s engagement with its Member States, the consultation process of the UNIDO 4IR Strategic Framework will be further amplified during first quarter of 2022 to address the challenges and reap the opportunities of the 4IR, to achieve the Sustainable Development Goal 9 (SDG9) and Inclusive and Sustainable Industrial Development (ISID).
