UNIDO Side Event at the WTO Global Review of Aid for Trade 2019

GENEVA, 4 July 2019 – UNIDO’s Department of Trade, Investment and Innovation (TII) and the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) jointly organized an event, entitled “Adding Value: Quality Infrastructure for Sustainable Development”, during the Aid for Trade Global Review 2019 at the World Trade Organization (WTO). The session demonstrated the contribution of quality infrastructure to three pillars of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs); namely people, prosperity, and planet.

UNIDO also launched its new publication entitled, “Sustainable Development & the Future of Quality Infrastructure”, which emphasizes the fundamental enabling function of an appropriate quality infrastructure for the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and its support for each SDG.
