UNIDO driving digital transformation in Indian automotive component manufacturers

UNIDO is pleased to announce the launch of a publication titled “Assessment of the application of Industry 4.0 and digitalization in the context of automotive component manufacturing in India”.

Providing an overview of the current level of digitalization and the adoption of Industry 4.0 by automotive component manufacturers, this publication additionally addresses challenges and gaps in implementing these technologies, as well as examining industry best practices and their learnings.

This report complements the ongoing efforts of UNIDO in India to foster digital transformation and forms the basis for the envisioned interventions aimed at disseminating Industry-4.0-related technologies to micro, small and medium-sized enterprises (MSMEs) in India.

UNIDO aims to ensure that its Member States take full advantage of the breakthrough of Industry 4.0 digital technologies and the subsequent digital transformation, thereby ensuring the promotion of inclusive and sustainable industrial development (ISID) and advancing the sustainable development agenda.
