UNIDO conference - “From Lean Management to Industry 4.0”

UNIDO organized a conference on the topic “From Lean Management to Industry 4.0”, which took place in Minsk, Belarus, from 17 to 18 October 2018. Attended by over 70 participants, the conference addressed issues such as the disruptive potential of the fourth industrial revolution and the convergence of technologies, as well as the importance of being prepared to deal with the challenges related to these processes. In addition, the participants discussed the key role of Industry 4.0 strategies, policies and programmes to foster technological learning and innovation for smart specialization. They also debated moving to “Digital Kaizen” and synergies between lean management and Industry 4.0.
