UNIDO and Australia collaborate on remote practices and data-driven innovation in food safety
Building on UNIDO’s engagement with the Standards and Trade Development Facility (STDF) on remote inspection, UNIDO and the Australian Government Department of Agriculture, Fisheries and Forestry have joined forces to organize an international forum on data driven innovation in food safety, including current remote audit and verification practices in regulatory frameworks.
The upcoming Vienna Food Safety Forum scheduled from 3-5 October 2022 will take place in a hybrid format, face-to-face as well as online, allowing food safety stakeholders from competent authorities, industry, service sector and academia, to explore the most recent developments in data-driven innovation in food safety. Accordingly, the Forum will focus on solutions from remote audit and verification, electronic health certificates and the data generated by voluntary third party assurance programmes.
