Podcast: How the UN uses international standards

This week, UNIDO was featured in the latest episode of the British Standards Institute (BSI) education podcast, featuring ‘How the UN uses international standards. This collaboration was the result of a long-lasting partnership between UNDIO and the BSI aiming at promoting the use of international standards for sustainable development.

The world is racing to achieve the UN’s Sustainable Development Goals by 2030, whilst at the same time combating multiple crises, such as COVID-19 and climate change, and addressing the ongoing challenges of demographic change and digital transformation.

In this episode we hear from Dr Bernardo Calzadilla-Sarmiento - Managing Director of the Directorate of Digitalization, Technology and Agri-Business at the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) about how the UN uses international standards to support member states to address these policy challenges.
