Malawi Bureau of Standards obtains internationally-recognized accreditation of its testing laboratory through the SQAM Project

The United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) has the pleasure to announce that the Malawi Bureau of Standards (MBS) has obtained accreditation of its testing laboratories for the scope of aflatoxin to ISO/IEC 17025:2005 (cereals, pulses and related products) by the Southern Africa Development Community Accreditation Service (SADCAS).

This was possible thanks to the support of the EU-funded “Development of a Robust Standardization, Quality Assurance, Accreditation and Metrology Infrastructure (SQAM)” Project in Malawi, where UNIDO, UNPD and the MBS are the implementing partners.
