Innovative online course on leather testing launched

Since 2012 UNIDO has designed and rolled out online courses to provide free technical resources to practitioners to strengthen the leather industry across the various parts of the value chain. Courses are prepared and updated integrating advantages of new digital technologies. Online courses are suitable for both on-line learning and classroom teaching.

The latest addition in April 2022 is the course “Introduction to Leather Testing Methods”. The course Introduction to Leather Testing Workshop is designed for training institutions, private companies and individuals that require understanding of both the theory and application of a wide array of standard test methods in utilize in the leather industry. The course is recommended to be used in a blend of classroom instruction using training content or self-learning along with allocation of time for hands on application in the laboratory. All courses provide opportunity for continuous professional development and lifelong learning.

Content was developed and prepared as a joint effort between UNIDO, FILK Freiburg Institute and Common Sense. The course is offered free of charge and a certificate issued upon successful completion of the course.
