Good Practices in South-South and Triangular Cooperation for Sustainable Development

Every year, the United Nations celebrates 12th September as the UN Day for South-South Cooperation. South-South cooperation is a manifestation of solidarity among peoples and countries of the South that contributes to their national well-being, their national and collective self-reliance and the attainment of internationally agreed development goals, including the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development. During this year’s celebration, the second volume of the “Good Practices in South-South and Triangular Cooperation for Sustainable Development” was launched on 12 September at the UN Headquarters in New York.

The publication features good practices in South-South and Triangular Cooperation presented by Member States, United Nations agencies and other development partners.  Please find attached a copy.

This volume includes the following “good practices” from TII:

•             Morocco & Tunisia: Facilitating Market Access for Selected Value Chains of Typical Food Products (p. 141)

•             Tajikistan: Modernizing Traditional Crafts for Competitive Businesses (p. 151)

The publication is now being translated into Arabic, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Russian and Spanish, which will be launched at the Global South-South Development Expo in New York from 28 – 30 November 2018.
