Constitutive meetings of the Regional Accreditation System (RAS) and Community Committees of Regional Quality Infrastructure in West Africa

The constitutive meetings of four Quality Community Committees of the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) were held from 6 to 9 November 2017 in Abuja, Nigeria.

Each committee has validated its work plan for 2018, adopted the rules and procedure, recruitment plan of the permanent secretary and has proceeded to the election of the President and Vice-President. With regard to the Regional Accreditation System (RAS), the Presidency will be held by the CEO of the Nigeria National Accreditation Service (NINAS), Mr. Celestine Okanya and the Vice Presidency by Mr. Marcel GBAGUIDI, DG of the West African Accreditation System (SOAC), the Accreditation Body of the West African Economic and Monetary Union (UEMOA).
