Within the West-Africa Competitiveness Programme in Ghana (WACOMP – Ghana), funded by the European Union and implemented by UNIDO, a training on how to undertake cluster diagnostic study has been organised on 23 October 2019, for selected experts from relevant institutions.
The training, which is based on the UNIDO cluster methodology (http://www.clustersfordevelopment.org/) , has been held in Accra and involved 17 experts from different institutions supporting the three target value chains: cassava, fruits (mango and pineapple) and cosmetics.
The objective of the training is to strengthen the capacity of cluster brokers or cluster development agents to identify cluster needs and support producers, processors and support institutions to define collective activities, aiming at improving the cluster performance. Participants of the training will be able to support clusters, facilitate cooperation among different stakeholders and promote collective efficiency.
