Chemical industry roundtables provide important inputs for continuation of GQSP Colombia Programme

The Quality and Standards Programme for the Chemical Value Chain - GQSP Colombia, with the support of Colombia Productiva, the National Business Association of Colombia-ANDI and Acoplásticos, culminated six national roundtables - focus groups- with chemical substances and plastics enterprises. The objective of theses roundtables were the validation of the value chain, the recognition of markets of interest and the institutional environment, as well as the identification of needs and technical barriers.

With the participation of more than 50 actors from large and small enterprises in four cities - Bogota, Cartagena, Medellin and Cali - the conclusions generated will be important inputs in the formulation of the working lines of the GQSP Colombia, at the level of sectoral training and technical support to MSME's.

The results of these focus groups will be included in the diagnosis of technical requirements, quality standards, private standards and sustainability in the national and international context applicable to the chemical chain, which will be published in the coming months by the programme.
