Webinar: Ensuring Industrial Safety and Security in Times of COVID-19 and beyond
The 2nd episode of the webinar series will focus on administrative measures to ensure industrial safety and security.
Facing the COVID-19 pandemic, governments worldwide adopted a wide range of regulatory measures, such as social distancing, obligatory use of facemasks, stay-home and work-from-home orders, mass testing, contact-tracing and surveillance, the closure of non-essential services, border closures and national shutdowns. Such policy measures, although not sufficiently informed by scientific and clinical-data evidence, were introduced to brace for health and national security threats and social, economic and political consequences of the outbreak. While well received by society and largely effective, these measures raised several issues for maintaining industrial safety and security.
