Virtual Launch of UNIDO Online Course “Eco-Industrial Parks”

Virtual

On March 2, the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO) is launching a new online course on Eco-Industrial Parks (EIPs) with the objective of promoting a common understanding on eco-industrial parks, aligned with the International Framework for Eco-Industrial Parks developed by UNIDO, GIZ and the World Bank. The course is delivered within the framework of the Global Eco-Industrial Parks Programme supported by the Swiss State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO).

The self-paced course has been created within the framework of UNIDO’s work on fostering opportunities for resilient, resource-efficient, and circular growth through eco-industrial park approaches. By exploring topics such as EIP concept planning and management, industrial synergies, and resource efficient and cleaner production, the course focuses on the pressing need to decouple economic growth from environmental and resource inefficiencies while meeting wider social objectives.

The online training will be launched virtually on 2 March from 1:30 p.m. to 2:30 p.m. CET and will present information about the course, how to access it, a brief walkthrough of the learning platform and the target audience.
