to
Jakarta, Indonesia (hybrid)

Following the success of the first Regional Conference on Industrial Development in 2018, and in the context of Indonesia’s G20 presidency in 2022, the Government of Indonesia and UNIDO are organizing the second Regional Conference on Industrial Development (2nd RCID) on 10-11 November 2021, under the theme Acceleration of Industry 4.0 for inclusive and sustainable industrialization.

Mindful of the current global pandemic situation, the 2nd RCID is organized in a hybrid format from Jakarta, Indonesia. It will focus on challenges and opportunities of Industry 4.0 in the Asia Pacific region in times of Covid-19 and beyond, covering topics such as digital transformation ecosystem, inclusivity and sustainability issues as well as regional cooperation efforts to accelerate Industry 4.0 adoption. In addition, the conference will represent an important milestone towards the preparation of G20 discussions that will take place in 2022 under the presidency of Indonesia, for which UNIDO reiterates its full support to the Government of Indonesia.

The 2nd RCID will bring together policy makers from the Asia and Pacific region, and high-level representatives from private sector, academia, business and industry associations, international and regional institutions and organizations. The 2nd RCID is a strategic and timely event to expedite industrial inclusive and sustainable post-pandemic recovery, and represents an important step towards promoting global and regional cooperation in the transformation process towards the Fourth Industrial Revolution.
