ISO/UNIDO webinar "Managing Risk & Building Resilience"

ISO/UNIDO webinar "Managing Risk & Building Resilience" as part of the ISO/UNIDO Special Webinar Series “Countering the Impacts of COVID-19 with International Standards”

Date and time: Thursday, 26 November 13:00 - 14:00 CET

The long term success of an organization relies on many things, from continually assessing and updating their offering to optimizing their processes. As if this weren’t enough of a challenge, they also need to account for the unexpected in managing risk, such as the global outbreak of COVID 19, which has affected almost every organization worldwide in one way or the other. Organizations of all types and sizes around the world face internal and external factors and influences that make it uncertain whether and when they will achieve their objectives. The effect this uncertainty has on an organization’s objectives is risk. Against this background, ISO 31000 is an international standard intended to serve as a guide for the design, implementation and maintenance of risk management.

In the context of the global crisis and beyond, the presentation will focus on managing risk and building resilience to anticipate the future events and their consequences using a systemic approach, based on integrated ISO Standards and future thinking scenarios.
