The 8th China (Shanghai) International Technology Fair is scheduled to take place on April 15-17 in the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center, located in the center of East China's Shanghai city and near the Huangpu River. The event is being co-organized by the Ministry of Commerce, Ministry of Science and Technology, the China National Intellectual Property Administration and the Shanghai municipal government. This year there will be exhibition areas devoted to sci-tech innovation, urban renewal, professional technology, innovation in ecology and trading services. The urban renewal exhibition area, an upgraded version of the previous smart city exhibition area, will cover such sectors as the urban digital economy, digital life and digital management. The organizers said that in the face of increasingly consumer demand, the professional technology exhibition area will expand its coverage of the applications and universality of scientific and technological products in the services industry, medical care, elderly care.
