Enhanced Integrated Framework

Luxembourg supported the Integrated Framework since its creation in 2009 by contributing € 4,5 million to its first phase, which covered the period from 2009 to 2015. In 2015, at the tenth Ministerial conference of the WTO in Nairobi, Luxembourg renewed its intention, in accordance with its earlier commitments to contribute another 4,5 million EUR to the Enhanced Integrated Framework (EIF) over the period 2016-2019.

Strengthening Competition and Consumer Protection Enforcement Capacities in Ethiopia

Luxembourg also supports a three year UNCTAD project for Strengthening Competition and Consumer Protection Enforcement Capacities in Ethiopia by contributing 411800 $ to the Trust Fund.

eRegulations

Luxembourg contributed to UNCTAD’s work on eRegulations (part of the Business Facilitation Program) for more than 10 years (approx. € 4,5 million): indeed since 2006, Luxembourg financed the implementation of projects that covered 15 countries over 3 continents. In 2011 and 2012, Luxembourg for instance supported two large regional projects, one covering 6 countries of the SIECA and the other covering the 8 members of the UEMOA. In 2012, Luxembourg decided to re-focus its resources and potential impact to those partner countries that showed the greatest prospects for sustainability and national ownership (and thus funded a project for “Transparency of Investment Procedures” in Vietnam).
