Trade integration of enterprises through improved standards
The EBRD fosters entrepreneurship with a particular focus on SMEs in its countries of operations through a mix of financial support and business expertise. Within the Small Business Imitative (SBI), the EBRD’s business advice and international expertise may also cover technical assistance to SMEs that aims at promoting/achieving compliance with international (quality) standards. Along similar lines, investment projects to larger corporates may also be complemented by technical assistance or support to improve standards and strengthen engagement in cross-border transactions.
